Terms of Service · Last updated: June 2026

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the HER Working Women app, website, and community platform (collectively, the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Who Can Join

The Platform is intended for women aged 18 and over. By registering, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that the information you provide is accurate and up to date.

We reserve the right to decline or revoke membership at our discretion to protect the safety and integrity of the community.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for any activity that takes place under your account. Notify us immediately at info@herworkingwomen.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Community Conduct

HER Working Women is a warm, respectful community. When using community channels, events, or any part of the Platform, you agree not to:

  • Harass, discriminate against, or threaten other members
  • Post content that is unlawful, hateful, defamatory, or sexually explicit
  • Share other members' personal information without consent
  • Use the Platform for spam, solicitation, or unauthorised promotion
  • Misrepresent your identity, affiliations, or qualifications

Violations may result in content removal, suspension, or permanent removal from the community.

5. Events, RSVPs, and Payments

Some gatherings, dinners, and programs require an RSVP and a contribution. Payments made via mobile money or other channels are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by HER Working Women.

6. HER SACCO

The HER SACCO is a separate savings and credit cooperative. SACCO membership, savings, and loans are governed by the SACCO's own bylaws and member agreements. The Platform displays SACCO information for your convenience only.

7. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you post on the Platform. By posting, you grant HER Working Women a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and use that content within the Platform and for related community purposes.

We may remove content that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is harmful to the community.

8. Intellectual Property

The HER Working Women name, logo, design, written content, and other Platform materials are owned by HER Working Women and protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them without our written permission.

9. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". While we work hard to keep it reliable and secure, we cannot guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly secure.

Content shared by members reflects their own views and does not represent HER Working Women.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HER Working Women, its founders, team, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we need to protect the community or the Platform.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via the app or by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Kampala, Uganda.
